God’s Word is Holy, and no one has the right to add anything to it or take anything from it. There are consequences when people do that. I know that people say things that sound like they came from the Bible, but they didn’t. Here are a few examples: “ God will not put on you more than you can bear, cleanliness is next to Godliness, and God helps those who help themselves, “ just to name a few.
If someone is going to quote Scripture, it must come directly from the Word of God, not from something that was made up, and not from generations past. People said those things to make themselves look good before God, but they failed to realize that they only made themselves look bad and ignorant.
You have to study God’s Word to know what it says. You have to pay attention to it and learn it before you start quoting it because it is important that it not be taken out of context. The Word of God is God speaking to us. It is alive. It is not just words on a white page written in red and black ink, it is the Word of Life.
It upsets me when I hear God’s Word spoken wrong. It upsets me when I hear someone say that God’s Word says this or that when it doesn’t. People need to understand that God’s Word cannot be taken lightly, but it must be taken to heart. I know sometimes we may not read it all of the time, but we should have some of it taken to memory when we need to use it.
Yes, I had to ask God to give me strength when I heard what I heard that someone said was in God’s Scriptures, and it isn’t. I had to defend God’s Word even though someone tried to justify what the person said, but I corrected them and told them that they were wrong, and the person was wrong for saying that what they said was God’s Scripture. I was very upset. If anyone is going to quote Scripture, learn it, know it, and use it accurately. Be precisely correct. If you make a mistake and misquote it, correct yourself, apologize to God, and ask for forgiveness. I know that people are not flawless, but the Word of God is. It is beautiful. It is our sixty-six-letter God wrote to us so we can get to know Him and His Son, Jesus Christ, our soon-coming King. Praise God!!! Hallelujah!!!🙏🏾✝️❤️
With that being said, God bless you. Have a greatly blessed rest of your week.
