Christmas for me has not been the same for the past three years. Many of my loved ones are away from me. Some have gone home to be with Jesus, and others are living their own lives. My babies, I miss them so much. If I had one Christmas wish, it would be for all of my children and grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to come and spend Christmas with me.
I am not getting any younger and having my loved ones around me is what I cherish the most. I miss the times when we were together making memories. Making memories matter to me. I want to be happy but it’s hard. I have to hide behind a smile that is not real. I have to hold in tears so no one will know how sad I am. I have to laugh whenever I want to cry. I have to hide everything I am feeling just to go out into the world and face the day and night. Where has my joy gone? My heart is broken.
I can remember when I was happy. I was filled with so much happiness. This time of the year makes me think of the good times as well as the bad times in my life. I still celebrate Christmas because it is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, our LORD and Savior. For me, it is a time of reflection, a time to let go, and a time to move on to a better life in Christ. Christmas is not about receiving gifts, it is about accepting the Gift that we all have been given from God. It is okay to give and receive gifts, but they are only material things. The gift that we all have been given will never end, and that is the Word of God. It will always stand the test of time for all eternity.
Enjoy the video. Merry Christmas everyone!❤️
