Seasons of Pruning

Jesus didn’t tell us that we wouldn’t have difficult seasons in our lives. He did not tell us that every season in our lives was going to be perfect. Trials and tribulations come to make us strong so that we can see how important it is to lean on God while we are being pruned by Him. He’s the Potter and we are the clay, without pruning and reshaping things in us and our lives, what kind of people would we be? How would we be able to produce Spiritual Fruit that pleases God? We have to remember that He’s the vine and the people of the pasture are the branches. Yes, pruning hurts. But it is for our good and His glory. Amen.

You may be reading this and wondering what I am talking about. I am talking about God removing things, people, or anything out of our lives that are hindering us from being who we are to be in Him to produce spiritual Fruit. It could be bad relationships, bad friendships, it could be a bad employer who will not give you a Sunday off to go to church. God does not want anything, or anyone to stop you from producing fruit for His Kingdom. We all have things to do concerning the Kingdom of God, but things must change. God can only change us but we have to want those bad things pruned from us, or taken away from us so we can become stronger in our faith to trust and know that God knows what is best for us. Pruning hurts. But it is necessary for new growth.

When things have been taken away from us that we didn’t need, we feel better. We may feel a loss at first, but God will fill that empty feeling with something that you should have had all along, and that is His peace. His peace which transcends all understanding. When God gives us peace we don’t have to worry or wonder about anything because all of our hope, faith, and trust are in Him.

While we are going through the pruning process, we can know that everything will be alright. We just have to stay focused on the One who's doing the pruning. Amen✝️.
