Starting Over: Starting Fresh

Sometimes we experience things in life that we never expect to experience. We go through the motions of being happy when we know we are sad, and we laugh when we want to cry. Everyone has had those days before some more than others, but we find a way to make it through those rough times. When we pray, God shows us things that He wants us to do. It could be changing something about ourselves, gaining wisdom, or just starting over. We have to pay attention to what God shows us because He is speaking to us in ways that are best for us to know that it is Him speaking to us.

Starting over can be frightening. It can also be good. It can be confusing because you don’t know where to start. This is when we have to sit down and examine ourselves to see what it is about ourselves that we need to change so we can start over, but it all begins with forgiving ourselves for the things we have done regardless of what others may think or say about us. Starting over and seeing ourselves how God sees us is hard because all we can see is our faults, mistakes, and shortcomings. We cannot see how blessed we are because of sin. The world that we live in is corrupt. It is not how God intended it to be now. We don’t always make good choices in our lives. We rarely ever ask God what He has for us. Starting over starts with seeking God and His wisdom. He will show us what to do. He will lead us down the path to our future that He has planned for us. We only have to trust and believe in His plan He has for us. We don’t always know what is best for ourselves, but God does, He created us. He knows everything about us and everything we will ever say and do.

Starting over is hard. It is frightening because you don’t know what to expect. You don’t know what to think. You don’t know if things will work out right. Trial and error teaches us to learn from our mistakes. It teaches us that we are not perfect and that we can learn from the mistakes we make. Life is not going to always be a bowl of sweet peaches, but we can get through it even while we are starting over. The page is blank. Write your story fresh and new. Write what you want your life to be like. Only you can write your story, and no one can write it better than you. Start over and start fresh.🌺🌺
