ORDER MY STEPS IN YOUR WORD

I want to talk about the peace that God gives us. The peace that God gives us cannot be taken away unless we let the Devil come in and steal it from us because the world cannot take it away from us. I know that there are so many things going on in the world that rob our minds of the peace we have or try to have, but we must know that God is our eternal peace. He is the peace that surpasses all understanding and guards our hearts and minds by Christ Jesus. To keep that peace we must focus on Jesus and remember what He did for all of us.

I will be sharing some Scriptures with you so you can have them to refer to later. Right now I want to share this with you.

What a tremendous, multifaceted gift we have been given-- peace!

Jesus tells us that the peace He has given to those who trust in Him for salvation is a gift that cannot be received anywhere else. This precious gift was purchased with His own life and blood on Calvary. When Jesus took on our penalty for sin, He achieved peace with God for us. Because of Christ, we are no longer enemies of God who fear His judgment and punishment. Rather, we are sons and daughters who are dearly and forever loved by our heavenly Father.

Jesus also promises us peace--freedom from anxiety and distress-- amid trials, sorrows, and hard circumstances. In Him, we can have peace, even though this life is filled with tribulation.

How do we enjoy this peace when things are going all wrong? We remember that God is in control. We remember that He is trustworthy and everything that comes into our lives is under His protection and care.

Finally, we remember in our heart of hearts that God is good. He has promised that He will never forsake us, never stop loving us, and never change His mind about bringing us home to heaven to spend eternity with Him. God knows that often the greatest spiritual blessings come wrapped in trial and sorrow. As we continue to acknowledge our trust in Him, we can tell Him what we need and thank Him for His work in our lives. We will then enjoy His peace that passes all understanding.

"As you read these verses aloud, let them be an affirmation of your trust in God and peace will come."

These next Scripture verses will be about STEPS. God orders us to walk in all of His statutes, and to follow all of His commandments, but do we do it? I pray that these Scriptures will help us remember the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

STEPS

1 Peter 2:21-For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Psalm 37:23-The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Lilies of the Valley

These next Scripture verses are about ORDER. When God created the heavens and the earth, everything was done in the order that God wanted to do it. He gives us instructions in the Word for us to follow to the letter, but because we are human beings, we fall short time, and time again, God always gives us chances to start over and get it right, but we still fall. I am eternally grateful that God is always there to pick us up when we fall. I am grateful for His love, mercy, and grace which sustains me from day to day.

ORDER

Judges 13:12-And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass. How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?

2 Kings 20:1-In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, set thine house in order, for thou shalt die, and not live.

Titus 1:5-For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee.

Hebrews 5:6-As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedek.

Sisters and brothers in Christ, I have enjoyed sharing these Scriptures with you. I hope you will be blessed by God's Word. I pray you will seek God and ask Him to give you peace, rest, and strength to do all of the things He has cllled you to do for the Kingdom of God. Always remember to keep Him first, and He will take care of the rest. Until we meet again, God bless you.
