Getting Back Into the Groove of Things

Updated: Jun 7, 2024

Music has always been a part of my life. Music was always on in my house growing up. I still listen to music, not only that though, but I also play music as well. I love writing music on my keyboard. When I taught myself to play I was so happy. I love making music with different objects. I want to learn to play the drums. I know they can be noisy, but when you learn to play them right, they make beautiful beats. I also enjoy creating and mixing different beats and 🎵 sounds just as much as I love to sing.

It has been a while since I have written anything, but I am thinking about working on this piece of music that has come across my mind. I have the lyrics, but I am thinking about how I want to play it. I know it will soon come to me.

The music that was made back in the day was worthwhile listening to. Some of the music that’s made now isn't worth listening to. It's all about sex, drugs, and money; it doesn't have any depth; no meaning, anything positive, or inspiring.

I am just getting back into the groove of things. I am always humming some kind of tune when I am working. I always listen to different kinds of music because I don't want to get stuck listening to the same kind of music over and over again.

Just because I am getting older doesn't mean I have to stop enjoying good music from long ago. I still enjoy dancing by myself and with my husband. Good beats make me want to move to them. Do what you enjoy. Get your groove on and let the music take you on a journey that you’ve never been on before. Journey back in time to when music was simple, but filled with love and emotion. Until then, keep letting the music flow.
