Eruption of the Heart: Poetry for the Mature Mind

Stillness beats the heart of the lovesick soul standing on a mountain top wondering what's at the bottom of the ravine. Silky clouds grace the blue sky while the warm sun glistens on the water flowing in the stream...how beautiful it seems to be from the top of the mountain.

Stillness feels the soul of the lonely heart which wants to erupt, but the feeling of love isn't there. Wanting and longing to be understood instead of misunderstood and forgotten sends trickles from the eyes down the face of this lonely heart. Captivated by memories of the past which were not so long ago; what shall they do to bring joy which will erupt the heart with happiness and joy. Can it all just be a dream of some kind? Could this soul be at their wits end? Only they may know the magnitude of what they're thinking.

In the deepness of their eyes, they look searching for that one thing that will bring them from their point of no return. They long to be successful, but has failed at every attempt. They try and try, but somewhere they cannot get themselves together within their mind; so much confusion, so many voices telling them what to do, but not how to do. They want to scream, but they have the fear of judgement hanging over their heads. Want to come down, but afraid of the steps they have to take.

Quiet is kept. Must they know that life goes on. Alas, screams and shouts pierce the atmosphere which shutters the soul of those who hears it. Eruption of the heart! The soul within rest from the turmoil it was in. The eyes dry from the hot tears which trickled down the heart. Limbs raise their branches to the sky as the sun kisses them with heat, not to burn them, but to give them warmth which wraps around the soul with just one touch. Little did they know they had a breakthrough. Now they can live with joy and peace in their life even when their heart has an eruption.
