Promises and promises are made every day. They are made to take the sadness away.
Are promises kept and made to be broken again and again?
Promises. Why do we make promises? Is it to make ourselves look and feel good? Is it to make someone smile to dry away their tears?
Promises are hard to keep. Sometimes it happens that way. Sometimes we don't have a say in the matter.
How do you feel about making promises? What do you think about making a promise that you can't keep?
Don't make promises you can't keep, and you never have to worry about being called a promise-breaker.
Marriage is a promise that is supposed to last forever. It's a promise made before God and witnesses when two people who love each other vows to spend their lives together. It doesn't always end up that way. Sometimes the two will fall out of love and divorce.
Who knows what's going to happen after it is all over? Only time can tell what will or will not be. Promises of that magnitude should always be discussed before setting everything in stone. No one wants to be hurt if things don't work out.
This is why no one should make promises they can't keep.
