In the Word of God, we see where Jesus speaks to evil spirits and casts them out. He also speaks to them and tells them to be quiet to not reveal who he is. We can do the same thing today. We can cast out our enemies by speaking to our enemies and casting them out, and casting them down back from whence they came. We do not have to put up with the nonsense that the enemy tries to throw at us. When we speak in the name of Jesus, and our words are mixed with faith, the enemy has to obey and bow down to the name of Jesus.
There is power in the name of Jesus. Demons tremble at the name of Jesus, and the enemy is threatened when we pray in the name of Jesus, or just mention Jesus’ name. The adversary always tries to put bad thoughts into our minds to try to make us turn against Jesus because of the trials we face in life. The enemy knows that he is already defeated. He knows that he has already lost the battle and he is under our feet. He does not have any authority over anything, or anyone unless it is given to him. Still, then, God is in control, considering Job and everything that the enemy did to him, but he could do anything except kill him. Job still came out on top with more than he had in the beginning.
The enemy was defeated at the cross. He was defeated when Jesus crushed his head with the heel of his feet. We can speak to our problems in the name of Jesus and know that He will take care of the rest. We can speak healing over ourselves and know that we are healed in His name. We cannot let the enemy control us. We cannot give him a foothold in our lives. We have to keep our eyes focused on Jesus and God’s Word to defeat the enemy. God fights our battles for us in the spirit realm. The enemy will always try to bring down the people of God, but God will never let it happen.
The Joy of Being Healed by Jesus
When I think about all of the people Jesus healed back then, I am filled with joy knowing that He still heals people today. There is no greater feeling than being touched and healed by Jesus Christ. When Jesus heals us of our infirmities, we have something to share with everyone to give them hope and strengthen their faith in God. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, opened blind eyes, helped the mute to speak, opened deaf ears, fed two multitudes, walked on water, and calmed the storm. He healed Simon’s wife’s mother, healed a leper, healed the man who was possessed of demons, and healed the centurion’s helper just by speaking the word.
Jesus also would tell them not to say anything about it. Nonetheless, when you have been healed by the Savior of the whole world, you cannot help but tell someone what He has done for you. Do you remember when Jesus healed your sin-sick soul? I remember when He healed me from the inside out. I remember when He saved my life more times than once. I still share my story. I can't keep it to myself.
Sometimes when someone is healed of something they forget to give God the credit, they give it all to the doctors, and they say that it was the medication that they took, but it was not any doctor or medication, it was all God. God is a great physician, He holds our lives in His hands. He can give it to us, or take it away from us at any given moment. Jesus came that we may have life and life abundantly.
Are you feeling sick, stressed, anxious, and depressed, if you are, I know someone who can turn your life around completely and heal you from all of those infirmities, His name is Jesus Christ. Begin to call out His name and pour your heart out to Him. Let Him fill you with His love and take away all of your hurt, pain, stress, depression, and anxiety. Let Him give you a brand-new life in Him. Being healed by Jesus is the greatest joy anyone can have. It is the greatest experience that you will remember forever, and it is an experience you will one day want to share with your grandchildren, family, and friends.
If you want to read more about what Jesus did, read the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the New Testament of your favorite Bible translation. God bless you.
