What Should You Do When Anxiety Attacks? Part Two

Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

We all know that trials come to make us strong, but what should we do when anxiety attacks? Who do we turn to? Do we keep what we are feeling to ourselves, or do we talk to someone? My suggestion is this: Turn to God. The scripture above it tells us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. This means that we can turn to God when anxiety attacks us. Anxiety is something that robs us of our energy because it is connected to our emotions. When that happens, it leaves us weak and tired, so therefore we can ask God for strength to make it through whatever we are facing in our life. It robs us of our peace, joy, and happiness. We all know that things like this don't come from God, it comes from the enemy, the Devil. When you look at that word, you see the word evil. Anxiety can cause people to do evil things; I don't have to explain it, you know just what I am talking about.

According to Wikipedia, this is what it tells us about anxiety. Anxiety is an emotion that is characterized by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil and includes feelings of dread over anticipated events. Anxiety is different from fear in that fear is defined as the emotional response to a real threat. It is often accompanied by nervous behavior such as pacing back and forth, somatic complaints, and rumination. If you would like to know more about the subject, go to wikipedia.org.
